Foresthill / Iowa Hill Fire Safe Council
October 20,
2009 Meeting Notes
General Items:
1.
Wildfire on the Divide (Harvest Festival) Review
·
The Harvest Festival was a success.
Attendance was great.
·
Suggest we continue to keep it the same but just expand on what we
have. Restructure and move some things
around.
·
·
The pumpkin patch and scarecrow contest went really well. Next year maybe move it closer.
2.
Foresthill Community Fire Drill
·
We had tested the Reverse 911 to contact residents as a test and
advertise during that test the Harvest Festival and to stop by and fill out a
survey letting us know if the Reverse 911 was informative. It failed.
It was supposed to have gone out to 3,275 and it only reached 310. We did it again the following week and it
only reached 410 residents. There is a
glitch in the system.
·
Cell phones are generally not used with the system due to the constant
changing of numbers and owners.
