Group Reports-

PCFSA-           Placer County Fire Safe AllianceN/A.

FFPD-             Foresthill Fire Protection District – Gary is working on the 4291’s and 4290’s.  So far in the district they have responded to 243 calls.  After the lightning storm that came through we are very lucky we only had fire start up from a lightning strike and that was a day later.  Working on the Monte Verde Shaded Fuel Break with David Funk.  They will be working through it Wednesday morning writing up a prescription for the common area.

DAT-                    Disaster Action Team – Things are quiet right now.  Gary mentioned that they only have two more sites to survey for the Red Cross, the high school and Carpenters Place.

Cal Fire           California Department of Forestry – Stations are fully staffed now. Planes are back at the airport ready to go.  No new funding but for those who have started they are funding those.  Ed is pushing projects that are funded to be completed.

BLM-              Bureau of Land Management – N/A

USFS-             United States Forest Service – Doing work at Casa Loma, near Alta, some mastication.  Engine crews are piling brush on approximately 20 acres along Sugar Pine road creating piles where the chipper is not able to access.  Still planning on 1500 acres of mastication but waiting for money.  There was only on fire from the Lightning storm up near Secret House.  Duncan Peak opened on June 14th.  No news on the Stimulus money.  Cam is working on the local agreements with Foresthill.  Demonstration site is looking a little forgotten.  We should contact Brian Mulhullen to find out if BLM is going to clean it up.

Firewise-         The video is posted on the Fire Safe Council website and will be distributed to the public broadcast television stations and will hopefully run this.  If we need to have copies made it takes a long time so just let Karina know so that she can order them.  Karina suggested putting an article in the Messenger regarding getting more participation from the Home Owners Association and community members.  Possibly look at having a representative from each areas come would be beneficial.

New Business:              Karina came across and article that was written by a USFS representative and will email this information out for everyone to read that she thought was interesting.

Good of the order.

Meeting adjourned.
